Jeunesse / Fantastique – Un jeu interdit de L.J. Smith

J’ai reçu ce livre dans le cadre d’un SP avec les Editions Michel Lafon et Camille que je remercie tout deux!

Synopsis:

Jenny a toujours mené une vie de rêve : des parents aimants, plein d’amis, et l’opportunité de faire tout ce qu’elle veut. Afin d’organiser la fête d’anniversaire la plus éblouissante de l’année pour son amoureux, elle décide d’offrir à ses invités une aventure dont ils se souviendront. Dans le nouveau magasin d’un quartier obscur, l’énigmatique vendeur aux yeux bleus la dirige immédiatement vers « le Jeu », une expérience unique…
Alors qu’elle construit le plateau avec ses camarades, Jenny en comprend, trop tard, les véritables règles. Ils vont devoir franchir une par une les pièces d’une demeure maléfique, affrontant au cours de ce voyage infernal leurs pires cauchemars. S’ils n’y parviennent pas avant l’aube, ils resteront emprisonnés dans la maison pour toujours.
Rester maître du jeu ou perdre la vie…

Mon avis:

Aimant beaucoup les livres de L.J. Smith, j’ai tout de suite voulu en savoir plus sur celui-ci! La magnifique couverture me donnait très envie de le lire et la quatrième de couverture m’intriguait beaucoup. C’est avec beaucoup de plaisir que j’ai savouré cette saga de 3 tomes réuni en un seul dans ce livre. Dès les premières pages de l’histoires, je me suis laissé entraîné par l’auteur dans l’histoire au côtés du personnage principale, Jenny. Au départ je la trouvais quelques peu futile et immature mais au fil de l’histoire, elle a su me surprendre et son évolution m’a beaucoup plu. Les autres personnages sont les meilleurs amies de Jenny; Summer la plus fragile, Audrey la globe trotter chic, Dee la combative, Mickael le bon vivant et le rigolo de la bande. Il y a également son cousin Zack, passionné de photo et mystérieux, ainsi que son petit ami Tom qui lui aussi va évoluer parce qu’au début je l’ai trouvé imbue de sa personne et prétentieux. Vient ensuite Julian, beaux, ténébreux, mystérieux, lunatique, malveillants et pourtant… mais vous en saurez plus en lisant le livre!! L’histoire est vraiment originale, prenante et très intéressante et on se prend très facilement au jeu de vivre l’histoire en même temps que les personnages et de ressentir les même choses qu’eux. Le style de l’auteur est vraiment très accessible et fluide et il est vrait que le premier tome fait plus jeunesse que les 2 suivants mais je les ai adoré tout les 3 et j’ai savouré chacunes de ses pages! Une fois de plus l’auteur à su me faire voyager à travers son livre et c’est un coup de coeur pour ma part et ce, dans tout les domaines, la couverture, l’histoire, les personnages, bref il fait parti des livres à découvrir cet été!!

Un livre que je conseille vraiment à tout le monde pour découvrir une histoire prenante et originale qu’il faut absolument découvrir cet été! Une histoire où le bien et le mal, le noir et le blanc, l’ombre et la lumière s’affronte dans une lutte sombre et envoûtante!

Synopsis:

Mon avis:

Wow, je ne sais pas vraiment par où commencer, je sors tout juste de ce livre et il m’a complètement chamboulée. Cette histoire m’a complètement happé et envoûtée et je pense qu’il va me falloir un peu de temps pour en sortir. L’histoire est vraiment intéressante et originale, je n’en ai jamais lu d’autres parlant de Mephisto ou encore des fils de l’enfer. Les personnages sont vraiment attachants, j’ai beaucoup aimé Brody pour sa gentillesse, Sasha est une jeune fille vraiment mature et elle cherche beaucoup de réponses au lieu de tout accepter rapidement ce qui m’a beaucoup plu, Jax est malgré sa condition quelqu’un de bien que j’ai vraiment apprécié par sa sincérité et sa tendresse, et de même pour ses frères qui protègent Sasha et Jax mais aussi les aident et leurs prodigue des conseils. En revanche j’ai détesté la famille Shrivers, leurs comportements vis à vis de Sasha et de Chris. J’ai regretté ne pas connaître un peu plus le personnage d’Eryx, il n’a pas été suffisamment présent et je n’ai pu le connaître uniquement via les autres personnages tels que Bruno, le professeur d’Histoire de Sasha et Brett. Le style de l’auteur est fluide mais j’ai mis un peu plus de temps pour le lire que le précédent livre en VO. Je pense que c’est parce que ce livre semble plus destiné à des jeunes adultes et des adultes qu’à la jeunesse. L’auteur m’a entraîné dans son univers jusqu’à la dernière page et j’ai été incapable de lire autre chose tant que je ne l’avais pas terminé. Il est question de religion, de dieu, de l’enfer, de Lucifer également dans ce livre et pourtant c’est loin d’être barbant ou rébarbatif au contraire! J’ai vraiment aimé cette hiérarchie, cet univers et l’ambiance à la fois sombre et pleine d’amour qui en découle et qui a réussi à me faire verser des larmes!

Un gros coup de coeur pour ce livre, son univers et ses personnages que je conseille vraiment avec l’assurance de passer un excellent moment de lecture avec une superbe histoire. Quand à moi j’ai vraiment hâte de lire la suite et de retrouver Jax et Sasha.
